LANDI KOTAL, May 31: At least four oil tankers were completely gutted when a fire broke out after a blast in one of the vehicles at the Torkhum border on Tuesday.
Khasadar officials posted at Torkham told Dawn that half a dozen oil tankers carrying fuel for the Nato forces in Afghanistan were parked at a private parking compound near the border crossing when a time device fitted in one of the tankers exploded and which caused a huge fire.
They said that three more tankers parked nearby also caught fire due to a strong wind blowing at the time of explosion. —Correspondent
