LAHORE, May 12: Three robbers looted Rs3 million cash from a Habib Bank branch on College Road near Brakat Chowk in Township on Thursday.

Reports said the robbers entered the branch, held the staff hostage and made off with a cash of Rs3 million. The branch manager has filed an application for registration of a case.

shot dead: Robbers shot dead a contractor and injured his 40-year-old employee on resistance in Jiya Moosa locality of Shahdara on Thursday.

Police said Rasheed and other labourers were asleep at an under-construction site near Flower Market when a group of robbers arrived there and awoke them up.

As Rasheed put up resistance, the suspects opened, injuring him and labourer Azam. Rasheed later succumbed to his wounds at Mayo Hospital.
