SUKKUR, May 11: Three women and a man were shot dead on the pretext of karo-kari in two different incidents on Wednesday.

A man, Saddam Bhayo, shot dead his three relatives -- Haseena Khatoon, Jannat Khatoon and Zulfiqar Bhayo -- in Wahid Bux Bhayo village near Ghouspur, Kandhkot-Kashmore district.

Haseena's husband Ikhtiar Bhayo and Jannat's husband Mohammad Ayaz Bhayo, a retired engineer, are Saddam's paternal uncles whereas Zulfiqar was the son of his another uncle.

Police took the bodies to a Kandhkot hospital and, after post-mortem, handed them over to relatives.

According to the villagers, Saddam suspected that Zulfiqar had illicit relations with Haseena and Jannat.

No case was registered till late Wednesday evening.

Our Umerkot correspondent adds: A women was killed allegedly by her grandfather near Kunri.

According to police, Asghar Bhatti, resident of Bhatti Mohalla of Bustan town, shot dead his granddaughter Uzma, 18.

The body was handed over to her father after post-mortem at the district headquarters hospital, Umerkot.

Usman Bhatti, father of deceased, lodged a case at Kunri police station, stating that she had been killed due to a matrimonial dispute. However, neighbours said that it was an incident of so-called honour killing. The accused has not been arrested.

KIDNAPPED:A woman was kidnapped from Sadoori village.

Imam Bux Sheedi lodged a case at the Kunri police station, stating that his wife Zohra had been kidnapped allegedly by Qurban Shah, Asghar Shah, Anwar Shah and Akbar Shah.
