KOHAT, Feb 2: Militants continued attacks on the cantonment and city areas of Kohat on the second consecutive day on Monday.

The security forces attacked the suspected hideouts of militants in Kotal hills near Darra Adamkhel and Bezote area along Orakzai Agency with artillery shelling from 1am to 7am on Monday. No casualty was reported from any side, officials said.

The security forces had sent spy planes to the area on Sunday afternoon before launching artillery shelling after the hideouts of the militants had been identified in Darra Adamkhel.

Militants fired rocket at an ammunition depot of the security forces from Bezote area but the rocket missed its target and exploded in a pond in Shiekhan area on Monday evening.
