TIMERGARA: Teacher shot dead in Dir

TIMERGARA, Jan 20: A primary schoolteacher was shot dead by unidentified people on the Shamshi Khan link road here on Tuesday.

Local people and police told Dawn that the teacher, Fateh Rahman of Tangi Shamshi Khan, was going home from the Ziarat Bazaar when he was attacked near the Government High School, Shamshi Khan.

Later, enraged residents placed the body on the Timergara-Peshawar road, demanding arrest of the killers.

Police registered a case on a report of the mother of the deceased.
