KARACHI, Jan 17: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has said that the Centre and provinces can be strengthened by empowering the common man at the grassroots level.

He was talking to the participants of the national security workshop, which is being conducted by the National Defence University. The participants of the workshop called on him at the Governor’s House on Saturday. Political parties had a consensus on the issue of provincial autonomy, he said, adding that with the introduction of the local government system, districts got autonomy that resulted in progress in every sector. “When districts and provinces will be able to serve their people, it will have a positive impact on the entire country and result in stability of the Centre,” he said, adding that just distribution of resources would help strengthen the Centre.—APP
