BIEK trials from Friday

KARACHI, Jan 13: Two-day trials to select the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) squad for the Inter-board cricket championship will be held at the Customs Academy ground on Jan 16 and 17 at 2pm.

Players invited for the trials: Tabish Nawab, Zakir Ali, Waqar Ali, Saeed Mutabir, Hussain Raza, Mohammad Hasan, Abdul Ameer, Maroof Aziz, Waqas Ahmed (Islamia Arts/Com morning), Shaharyar Zaqfar, Junaid Ilyas, Kazim (Jinnah College), Furqan, Khalil Ubaid, Majid Khan, Shaham, Ayazuddin, Omar Arshad (Islamia, evening), Shahzaib Khan, Omair Arshad (NCR), Omar Imtiaz (Islamia Science), Faizan Qadeer, Junaid Bashir (Govt Degree, Landhi-Korangi), Abdul Salam (National), Ahmed Taimur, Ahsan Ali, Ghayas Ghazali (Buffer Zone), Mubashir, Jahanzaib (DJ), Tanvir Salim, Mirajuddin, Badil (Sirajuddullah), Farhan Khan, Abdul Rehman, Kamil Hussain, Sarosh Javed (Aisha Bahawani), Rehmatullah, Shakir Akakail, Ahmed Zaheer, Sarfaraz Khan (Gulistan-e-Jauhar), Adil, Owais Shakil, Mehboob-ul-Haq (S.M. Science), Mohammad Ehtisham (Degree Science), Faisal Saleem (IBE).

The BIE cricketer committee has also advised all the affiliated colleges to send their two outstanding cricketers in the trials. College students who have passed their SSC exams in 2007 and are not employed in any department are also eligible to play in the inter-board tournament.—APP
