Two killed in separate incidents

TAXILA, Jan 13: Two persons were killed in separate incidents in the Wah Cantonment police station area, police said on Tuesday.

In the first incident, Nisar Ahmad lodged a complaint with the police that two persons had killed his son - Izhar Ahmad - for some unknown reason. He said the body of his son was found in Jinnah Colony. The alleged killers are stated to be cousins of the deceased.

In the second incident, a man was killed by some unknown persons near Mohra Chowk.

According to the police, some passer-by spotted the body lying at a deserted place. The police reached the spot and shifted the body to THQ hospital Taxila. There were several marks of torture on the body. Later, the deceased was identified as Javaid, resident of village Lub.

In another incident, a man shot and injured his rival over a land dispute at Mohra Khattran, located in the jurisdiction Hassanabdal police station.

Zawar Hussain reported to the police that he was intercepted by two motorcyclists and one of them opened fire at him with a pistol.

He received multiple injuries and was taken to the THQ hospital Hassanabdal where his condition is stated to be out of danger.

And, according to Wah Cantonment police, some burglars broke into house of Nasir Khan and took away Rs20,000 in cash and a water suction pump. Meanwhile, the Hassanabdal police have recovered 35 bottles of liquor from two persons and registered cases against them.

Man seeks action against doctor: A citizen here on Tuesday called upon the chief minister of Punjab and the high-ups of the health department to take action against a doctor for his alleged negligence in providing timely treatment to his injured son due to which one of his legs was amputated.
