ATTOCK, Jan 13: A boy allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol in his head at Hattain village, located in Hazro police station, on Tuesday evening.

The 18-year-old Ghulam Qadir, a daily wager employee at Kamra, died at his house on the spot.

The police reached the scene after receiving the information that some one had escaped after killing the boy.

However, according to the police, the boy had committed suicide because of his poor financial conditions.

The deceased’s father Khuda Bakhash informed the police that his son had quarreled with his mother when she refused to give money to him.

His father had also reprimanded him for bad attitude with his mother, the police said.

When contacted, DSP Hazro Police Circle Syed Akbar Abbass said the police had declared the incident as suicide on the report of the boy’s father. His body was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters hospital Hazro for postmortem.

However, the police are investigating into the incident, the DSP said.—Correspondent
