LAKKI MARWAT: Cellphone shops damaged in Lakki blast

LAKKI MARWAT, Jan 11: A bomb blast partially damaged two cellphone shops in Naurang bazaar on late Saturday night.

Sources said that unknown miscreants had planted indigenous explosives in a diesel generator in Landiwah market. “The generator was installed to provide electricity to the market during prolong duration of loadshedding in the area,” a source said, adding that two shops were partially damaged while the power generator was destroyed as a result of explosion.

Meanwhile, Naurang police claimed to have averted a sabotage bid by defusing a bomb in Naurang bazaar. The sources said that officials of the bomb disposal squad were called out who defused the 5kg bomb.

TWO INJURED: Two people received bullet injuries when unknown armed men opened indiscriminate firing on a pickup near Wanda Hajigul in the jurisdiction of Lakki Marwat police station, sources said. — Correspondent
