PESHAWAR, Jan 10: A meeting of the special committee on relief package of the provincial assembly was held here on Saturday.

MPA Abdul Akbar Khan presided over the meeting, which was attended by secretary for finance Ziaur Rehman and MPAs Mufti Kifayatullah and Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, said a handout issued here.

The meeting discussed the relief package for bereaved families of Iftikhar Khan (late), Akhtar Nawaz Khan (late), former members of the provincial assembly, and suggested different proposals.

The committee will again meet on Jan 13 to recommend and determine relief package for the purpose.

Meanwhile, the competent authority on recommendation of the Provincial Selection Board promoted three associate professors of paediatrics to the post of professors of paediatrics (BS-20) with immediate effect.
