SHIKARPUR, Jan 7: A motorcyclist was killed on the spot when he lost control over his vehicle and fell on the Indus Highway near Faizoo Laaro in the Khanpur area on Wednesday.

Saadullah Pahore was going to Gaaman Pahore village from Khanpur when the incident took place.

In another incident, a group of armed robbers stopped Wagon on Lakhi-Naudero road near Mundhoo Waandh in the jurisdiction of Amrote police station and looted cash, mobile sets, jewellery and other valuable belongings from the passengers.

They were coming from Rohri to Madeji after attending a mourning procession when they were robbed.

The passengers held a demonstration in front of Madeji press club in protest against the robbery and failure of Amrote and Madeji police to curb crimes and recover their looted valuables.

They ended the protest on assurance by police that they would recover the looted items.
