HYDERABAD: Police failure to recover kidnap victims slated

Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, Jan 6: Activists of Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party, Taraqqi Pasand Nari Tehrik and relatives of four kidnapped sisters and their father held a demonstration outside the Shahbaz Building, which housed the office of the DIG police, in protest against police failure to recover the hostages.

The party leaders accused police of making false promises and doing nothing genuine to recover the unfortunate girls and their aged father.

They said that they would not call off the protest unless the father and his daughters were recovered.

The protesters dispersed peacefully on assurance by police that the accused would be arrested and the hostages would be recovered within 24 hours.

The four sisters and their father were kidnapped from Shalimar Bungalows Qasimabad five days ago but police have still been clueless about their whereabouts.
