LAHORE, Jan 4: PPP leader Naheed Khan says that the gap between the PPP leadership and workers is widening with every passing day which should be minimised.
Talking to reporters at a reception hosted by ARD secretary-general Qazi Abdul Qadeer Khamosh here on Sunday, Naheed said the workers were getting frustrated for being ignored by their leadership. She said she was neither interested in any party office nor anyone could expel her (from the party). She vowed to continue the mission of Benazir Bhutto.
She also expressed her concern over the burning of PPP flag in Faisalabad by angry mob.
Senator Safdar Abbasi said the government should explore alternative way after the reluctance of United Nations in the probe of Benazir’s murder.
He also spoke for the party workers and urged the government to encourage and reward them for their services.
