Okara DBA body elected

OKARA, Jan 4: Haji Khalid Saeed was elected president of the District Bar Association on Sunday.

He secured 277 votes while his rival candidates Sagheer Ahmed and Shahzad Iqbal could get 222 and 13 votes, respectively.

Ghulam Mustafa Sadiq was elected the secretary-general by bagging 347 votes while his rival candidates Iftikhar Bhatty and Ghulam Mustafa Tarnana could obtain 145 and 115 votes, respectively.

Rai Muhammad Amjad Raza was elected senior vice-president, Malik Ahmad Yar vice-president, Muhammad Ahmad Mazhar joint secretary, Muhammad Ahmad Khan finance secretary, Mian Muhammad librarian and Rana Ghulam Dastagir Joya auditor.—Correspondent
