KARACHI: Dug-up road

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Jan 4: A portion of the road dug up for a drain in the Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Housing Society’s Street 7, behind an outlet of a fast food chain, has become a death trap for passers-by.

Filled with dirty water, it is causing immense inconvenience to residents of the locality.

A couple of vehicles have already stuck up in the dug-up portion of the drain.

People living in the vicinity are also unable to park their vehicles inside their houses as the earth taken out from the ditch has accumulated in front of their houses and the open drain has turned into a pool of filthy water.

An elderly woman said she had brought the issue into the notice of the KWSB executive engineer concerned, but nothing happened so far.
