KARACHI: Intermediate exams from April 28


KARACHI, Feb 2: Chairman Board of Intermediate Education Karachi Anwar Ahmed Zai said on Monday that the intermediate annual examination would begin from April 28 in the metropolis.

He said that about 250,000 candidates would appear in the intermediate examinations to be held at some 135 examination centres in the city. In the first phase, the examinations of pre-medical, pre-engineering, computer science and home economics groups would be held.

The chairman said that from this year the first year’s examinations would be conducted under a new scheme. He said that 50 percent of marks would consist of short answers-questions, 30 percent for descriptive answers and 20 percent marks for objectives. Similarly, 85 per cent of the total marks would be for theory examination and rest of the 15 per cent would be for practical examination.—APP
