Declamation Contests at UAF

FAISALABAD, Dec 31: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) held declamation contests of humorous and serious English and Urdu here on Wednesday.

Students from all faculties and institutes participated in the contests, and Ahmed was declared winner in the Urdu serious and Sheraz in humorous competitions. Sadia was the winner of English humorous and Alvina Fatima bagged first position in serious English debate competitions.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad urged students to groom themselves as confident and successful people in society. He said the UAF had been extending various platforms under the umbrella of Senior Tutor Office (STO) to students for their personality development and creativity. Talent is like a tidal wave which dictates the ways on its own choice, he added.

Dr Anjum Sohail, office bearer of STO highlighting the activities of the office said students were participating in creative activities on the platforms of Qirat and Na’at Club, Quiz Club, Debating Club, Society of Agricultural Writers, and Dramatic Club.
