Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Dec 31: Three shi-ps carrying containers and 34,990 tons of imported wheat are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Six ships, APL Topaz, Hansa Liberty and TS Xingang to unload and load containers, Equinox Seas, Breeze both bulk carriers were berthed after the departure of eight.

The ships, which departed included Mol Admiration, Chemway Lara, Leader-1, Montania, Sima Sahba, Deja Bhum, Orient Tulip, APL Topaz, while Abtin-1,TS Xingang, Hansa Liberty, Clementine, Dina Queen, Atlantic Star and Sargodha are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 88,945 tons, comprising 36,033 tons of export cargo and 52,912 tons of import tonnage, was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Captain Yannis-L, with 34,990 tons of imported wheat, Bunga Terasek, with containers and Gulf Tiger, with high-speed diesel.

Port Qasim

KARACHI, Dec 31: Four ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil and furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively during the last 24 hours.

Four more ships carrying containers and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim.

A total of seven ships, namely CV Maersk Delmont, MV She belle, MV Eastern Sun, MV Tourloti, MT Eastern Good Will, MT Stella and MV Haadi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore, respectively.—APP
