Friends Panel wins DBA polls

MIRPURKHAS, Dec 25: The Friends Panel clinched all but one office of the Mirpurkhas District Bar Association on Thursday. Only joint secretary’s office went to the United Panel.

According to unofficial results, 383 of total 422 votes were cast and Gulab Khan Kaimkhani of Friends was elected president by securing 193 votes while his opponent Shamsuddin Shaikh obtained 187.

Abdul Aziz Memon of Friends was elected vice-president by securing 203 votes while his opponent Choudhry Aftab Ahmed Waraich got 177 votes.

Mir Naeem Akhtar Talpur of Friends received 195 votes to be elected general secretary while his opponent Ali Hassan Chandio got 184 votes. Sikandar Ali Kolachi of United Panel secured 199 votes to win office of joint secretary while his opponent Aftab Ali Shah of Friends obtained 177 votes.Waheed Ahmed Siddique and Mir Shahzad Ahmed Talpur of Friends were elected library secretary and treasurer, respectively.
