HYDERABAD, Dec 25: Growers have demanded compensation for the huge losses they suffered during recent rains in which most of their paddy produce lying in heaps in open fields was destroyed.

An office-bearer of the Sindh Chamber of Agriculture, Nabi Bux Sathio said at news conference at Tando Mohammad Khan press club on Wednesday that a survey of scale of damage to paddy be conducted in lower Sindh, which was the worst affected area.He said that rice growers had suffered huge losses in rains because their crop, which was lying in the open, was destroyed completely.
