KARACHI, Dec 25: The University of Karachi has announced that the last date for depositing fee for BS (Hons), BS third year and masters programme of the morning session is Dec 26 (today).

A university statement has said that candidates can deposit the fee between 9am and 1pm along with five photographs and relevant documents.

It said that the admission would be cancelled in case of not paying of the fee by Dec 26.

The second merit list for vacant seats, if need be, would be issued on Dec 29 by 4pm, the notice further pointed out.

KU convocation

The Annual Convocation 2008 of the University of Karachi would be held on Dec 29.

This was announced by an official of the institution here on Thursday.

He said that the Governor of Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, will be the chief guest on the occasion.

The official further said that a rehearsal would be held on Dec 28.

The candidates who want to attend the convocation have been asked to wear the traditional educational robes for the purpose. They should also bring the invitation cards with them.

The university official further pointed out that there will be no classes or examinations on Dec 29.—APP
