KARACHI, Dec 24: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Wednesday announced the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate-I Humanities (private candidates) annual examination-2008.

According to the statistics, a total of 6,978 candidates (2,403 male and 4,575 female) appeared in the examination and 2,377 (600 male and 1,777 female) of them cleared all six papers. From among the remaining candidates, 1,501 (511 male and 990 female) passed five subjects, 1,026 (367 male and 659 female) four subjects, 889 (350 male and 539 female) three subjects, 637 (283 male and 354 female) two subjects and 430 (227 male and 203 female) passed one subject.

SSC-I

The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Wednesday declared the results of Secondary School Certificate-II Science (regular candidates) and General (both regular and private candidates) supplementary examinations-2008.

A total of 7,145 candidates appeared in the Science group examination and only one of them secured A-1 grade. From among the rest, 12 candidates got A grade, 278 B grade, 1,620 C grade, 2,294 D grade and 217 in E grade.

In the General group exam, a total of 3,966 candidates appeared and none of them could secure A-1 grade while only one candidate got A grade. Sixty-four passed the exam in B grade, 458 in C grade, 1,412 in D grade and 282 in E grade.
