KARACHI: Governor, CM vow to follow Quaid’s principles

KARACHI, Dec 24: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah have paid tribute to Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in their messages on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

“It is a very important day today and we could pay tribute to the founder of the nation by following his principles — unity, faith and discipline — to make our country prosperous, stable and developed,” said Dr Ibad, adding: “History shows that only those nations are successful who remember their leaders and follow their teachings.”

In his message, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said the Quaid-i-Azam had spearheaded an untiring struggle for establishing a separate state for Muslims of the subcontinent and owing to his dynamic leadership, the independence Islamic state came into being. “We can put the country on the road to progress by following the great principles of unity and firm determination shown by him. Today, our country is facing internal and external threats. Therefore, the PPP government is striving day and night to meet these challenges,” said Mr Shah.—PPI
