HPS tame Beaconhouse in basketball

KARACHI, Dec 23: Mustafa Rizvi and Affan Arif helped hosts Habib Public School (HPS) inflict 38-19 defeat on Beaconhouse Public School Main Campus in the Inter-school basketball championship on Tuesday.

Mustafa contributed 16 points while Affan scored 12 for the Habibians. Ahmed Ali Khan scored 11 for the losers.

In the two other matches of the day, Fatmiyah School suffered two back-to-back defeats. First they went down 27-80 to St. Patrick’s School and in the next they lost 23-66 to Beaconhouse Public School Main Campus.Following withdrawl of Karachi Grammar School, five teams are competing in the contest which is being played on single league basis. The league matches concludes on Wednesday.

Two teams securing highest points will qualify for the final to be played after winter break.

Habib Public School bt Beaconhouse Public School Main Campus 38-19; St. Patrick’s School bt Fatmiyah School 80-27; Beaconhouse Public School Main Campus bt Fatmiyah School 66-23.
