KARACHI, Dec 23: Seven ships carrying containers, crude oil and mogas are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where seven ships were berthed on Tuesday.
They are: Aqua Star, Hyin Investor, to load cement, Bright Express to load naphtha, Quetta to offload crude oil, Bunga Teratai-3, Sinar Bintan and Y.M. Improvement to unload and load containers, were berthed after the departure of five.
The four ships, which departed were led by Bunga Teratais-3, Sinar Bintan, Amanat, and Eastern Sun, while Swat, Y.M. Improvement,Arnis, Nordana, Cape Negro, Isara Bhum, Yick Zao, Quetta, Pbs Swathy, and Hyun Jin.
After several lean days, the total tonnage handled at the port rose to 0.106m tons from the previous average 55,000 tons, comprising 25,049 tons of export cargo and 81,000 tons of imports.The following ships are due on Wednesday: Wan Hai-3, T.S. Qingdao, Hanjin Port Adelaide, Hyundai Emperor, and H&H Tide, with containers, Johar, with crude oil and Anikitos, with mogas.
