FAISALABAD, Dec 19: Two brothers were burnt alive and another sustained critical burn wounds when a fire erupted in the upper storey of their house in Munirabad on Friday night.

Reports said that Salman, 12, Shahzeb, 6, and Muzzamil, 4, were asleep on the upper storey of their house when the room caught fire. Seeing the blaze, the area people informed the Rescue 1122 and the police. The rescuers retrieved the charred bodies of Salman and Muzzamil while Shahzeb was shifted to the Allied Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.

The cause of the fire could not be known. The ill-fated brothers were alone in their house at the time of the incident. Their widow mother, who works as a maidservant, was away performing her job.
