KARACHI, Dec 18: China beat Pakistan 9-0 in their last pool match in the Junior Women’s Asia Cup Hockey tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Thursday.

According to the information received here, China led 4-0 at the end of the first half.

Meanwhile, Pakistan coach Mohammad Akhlaq said that the team played as well as they could against the strong Chinese side while adding that he hoped the experience would help the girls to improve their game further.

Pakistan now face Singapore in the classification match on December 20. If they manage to win the match, they will play another for the 5th and 6th position.—Agencies
