Miandad joins PCB Governing Board

LAHORE, Dec 18: Former Test captain, Javed Miandad has completed a hat-trick in the PCB by being assigned a third portfolio, that of member Governing Board by the Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), President Asif Ali Zardari.

The president in his capacity as the patron of PCB has appointed Miandad as the member of the PCB Governing Board.

“Javed Miandad, a former captain of Pakistan cricket team, will replace Ijaz Butt in the Test cricketer’s category of the Governing Board,” a PCB press release stated.

Miandad is already holding post of the Director General PCB and the President has also appointed him as cricket ambassador to China.

Miandad told Dawn that he was going to meet PCB chairman Ijaz Butt on Friday to take some decision about his future role.
