KARACHI: SSC-I practical exams to be held on new pattern
KARACHI, Dec 17: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced that the SSC part-I practical examinations 2009 will be conducted on new pattern.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the board declared that the new pattern envisaged 15 marks in the existing practical exams of chemistry, biology and 25 marks in computer studies.
For the SSC part-I annual examination 2009, the list of existing practicals would remain applicable, it added.
Meanwhile, the board announced in a separate statement that the SSC final left-over supplementary practical examination 2008 (Science and General) of physics, chemistry, biology, computer studies, food & nutrition, clothing & textile and braille would commence on Dec 19 at the Govt Boys Secondary School No.1, Petrol Pump, Nazimabad.
KU enrolment
The University of Karachi has announced that the enrolment forms and fee for BEd and MEd in the academic session 2008-09 will be accepted till December 29.
The forms with a late fee of Rs500 will be accepted from December 30, 2008 to January 12, 2009.
In a separate announcement, the university said that the date for submission of registration forms of BCom and improvement of division in the same discipline had been extended till Dec 20. The forms could be submitted with a late fee of Rs300.
Fuuast BA exams
The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology (Fuuast) has announced that the BA (Hon) examination are beginning on December 19 at the Abdul Haq Campus, Baba-i-Urdu Road, Karachi. Papers will be held from 2pm to 5pm.
DAE results
The Sindh Technical Board (STB) has announced the results of Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE), third year (evening) annual examination 2008.
