OKARA, Dec 14: Hundreds of people from Faridkot blocked the Dibalpur-Kasur road for about two hours to protest against what they described as a media campaign wrongly linking their village to Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving culprit of the Mumbai attacks.
Nazim of the Faridkot union council Ghulam Mustafa said that Ajmal Kasab was not a resident of the village nor was he related to anyone there.
Later, they held protests in front of the Deepalpur press club and the office of the deputy superintendent of police.
