LAHORE, Dec 14: Jamaatud Dawa activists on Sunday took out a motor rally to protest the ban imposed by the government on the party without issuing any charge-sheet.
Activists riding dozens of ambulances run by the Khidmat-i-Khalq (public welfare) section of the party marched from Nasser Bagh on the Lower Mall up to the Lahore Press Club at Simla Pahari.
To avoid any check by the law-enforcement agencies, even the media was told of the rally minutes before its due time. The marchers carrying banners and placards inscribed with their demands were raising slogans against the “unlawful” ban. — Staff Reporter
