LAHORE, Dec 13: Rail traffic between Shorkot Cantonment and Sheikhupura junctions has been restored and all trains are operating on the route according to their schedule.

Railway’s Lahore Division Divisional Superintendent Mubeenuddin said on Saturday that owing to derailment of locomotive and four coaches of Sultan Bahu (230-down), the rail traffic between the two junctions remained suspended till Saturday morning.

“The Lahore-bound train was moving at a slow speed and it halted soon after derailment. Railway officials reached the spot within minutes as it was about six kilometres towards Naim Ashfaq Shaheed Halt, facilitated the passengers to reach their destination. No one was injured or hurt in the accident,” said Mubeenuddin.
