MULTAN, Dec 11: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said Pakistan will not hand over any of its citizens to India and it has informed the international community about it.
He was commenting on the post-Mumbai carnage scene after saying the Eid prayers on Tuesday. “We have, however, offered India joint investigation into the mayhem.”
He said a strong understanding and coordination existed between the military and political leaderships. He said Pakistan was not responsible for attacks on NATO containers and it was the responsibility of private security agencies to protect the containers.
GILANI: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that the law enforcement agencies were interrogating detained activists of banned organizations.
Addressing a gathering at circuit house here on Wednesday, he said Pakistan had offered full cooperation to India in the Mumbai attacks probe.
Talking to newsmen at the local airport earlier, the prime minister confirmed the arrests of Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi and Zarrar Shah.
Condemning attacks on NATO containers, he said that NATO had option of other routes for supplies to Afghanistan.
Answering a question, the prime minister said that he had directed the authorities for the purchase of lint and rice to stabilize their market rates.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif had promised to follow rules of business in running the coalition government.
