Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Dec 11: Seven ships with containers, sulphur and to load cement and clinker are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where over two dozen ships including Leo Princess and Flag Investors to load cement and Tianjin Highway to unload cars, were berthed during the last four days.

Sailing was also active as 29 ships departed which included among others, Oocl Ability, Harmony, Martha Russ, H & H Tide, APL Yokahama, Tianjin Highway, Isra Bhum and Montania while Rising Bhum, T.S. India, Bauhinia Bridge, Gulf Tiger and Flag Investors are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 325,000 tons comprising 79,848 tons of export including 24,840 tons of cement and 4,119 tons of rice and 245,152 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Lucky Arrow, OBS Swathy to load 11,500 and 5,700 tons of cement, Golden Arrow-2 to load 30,000 tons of clinker and Myong San with sulphur.
