Two die after consuming moonshine

TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 7: Two boys died while two others fainted after consuming moonshine in village Chah Sikandar Wala on Saturday night.

Shabbir, Abbas, Majeed and another were taken to a private hospital in Kamalia where Shabbir and Abbas expired while Majeed and another were in stable condition.

ARRESTED: The Faisalabad police arrested on Friday a constable attached with Gojra DSP as assistant reader and his four accomplices in a dacoity case.

A Mansoorabad police party led by SHO Shahid Gujjar raided Chak 97-JB and arrested constable Rana Azhar Iqbal. The police also arrested his accomplice Muazzam from Chak 305-JB, Mansoor Wali and Usman Akram form Chak 303-JB and Khurram Shahzad from Mansoorabad. They had allegedly looted the house of a property dealer in Dastagir Colony, Faisalabad, on Dec 3 and deprived him of valuables worth Rs2 million.

CASE: Kamalia judicial magistrate Waseem Anjum directed the Pirmahal police on Sunday to register a case against nine people of Chak 741-GB who allegedly injured a court bailiff and prevented him from executing a court decree.

Bailiff Ashraf had gone to the village to execute the decree regarding possession of property but was attacked by Zahoor and his eight accomplices, including a woman, who injured him and stopped him from discharging his duties.
