FIH coaching course

LAHORE, Dec 6: A high level FIH coaching course will be held at the National Hockey Stadium Lahore from Dec 24 to 30 in conjunction with the NBP Gold Cup Hockey Tournament.

The course will be conducted by FIH coaches Manager Tayyab Ikram with assistance from Rana Mujahid Ali as the local course coordinator. Chairman selection committee Hasan Sardar and members Farhat Hasan Khan, Khalid Bashir and Rana Mohammad Shafiq will also attend as observers.

The course is being held with the specific purpose of updating the knowledge of Pakistan’s coaches and acquaint them with the fast developing techniques of the game. The participating coaches will be graded and inducted in the national pool for assignments.

Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the names of 33 coaches to participate in the course.

PIA: Qamar Ibrahim, Ayaz Mahmood, Ahmad Alam, Kamran Ashraf, Saleem Sherwani, Mohammad Irfan, Mumtaz Haider, Anjum Saeed, Ghulam Jillani, Rahim Khan, Musaddiq Hussain.

NBP: Mohammad Akhlaq, M. Asif Khan, M. Anis, Khawar Javaid, Tariq Sheikh, Arshad Hussain.

ABL: Khawaja Junaid, Zahid Afzal, Mujahid Afzal.

UBL: Jan Mohammad, Ajmal Khan, M. Rasheed.

HBL: Safdar Abbas.

Customs: Danish Kaleem, Mohammad Ali, Wasim Feroze.

Police: M. Shahbaz Junior, Qasim Khan.

Army: Lt. Col Nadeem Bhatti.

Lahore: K.M. Bilal.

Islamabad: Mansoor Ahmed.
