KARACHI: Winter rain

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 5: The city on Friday received its first winter shower which continued intermittently till late in the night.

“The rainfall is likely to be light to moderate with chances of a thunderstorm in most parts of the country including Sindh in the next 24 to 48 hours,” said chief meteorologist Muhammad Riaz.

He said that a low-pressure weather system entered Pakistan, particularly its southern part, from the west and due to its influence Karachi received traces of rain on Friday. The rain would result in a temperature drop, he added.

The maximum temperature on Friday was recorded as 32.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 20 degrees centigrade, with 44 per cent humidity.
