ISLAMABAD, Dec 4: Lahore division troops conducted the field firing and battle inoculation exercise, “Battle Axe-52”, on Thursday in close to operational environment at Tilla firing ranges near Jhelum.

This was said to be the high point of a year-long intensive training exercise and encompassed application of firepower from aerial and ground platforms in synchronisation with tactical manoeuvres, involving fighting and supporting arms.

The PAF provided close air support for attack. Officers from the Pakistan Navy War College witnessed the exercise.

The general officer commanding appreciated the zeal and commitment of all ranks to attain high training standards.

He said that rigorous training paid dividends and without it high standard of professional skills could not be achieved.
