KARACHI, Dec 4: Five ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Five ships, Wan Hai-507, Oel Transworld, to unload and load containers, Union Bonita, to offload and load general cargo, Agios Nektarios, to unload coal, and Florest Sea, to unload crude oil were berthed on Thursday after the departure of four.

The departing ships were led by Johar, Capetan Vassilis, Hanjin Mingbo and Cape Negro, while Bunga Teratai Dua, Wan Hai 507, Flores Sea and Union Bonita are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where a total tonnage of 80,428 tons, comprising 11,556 tons of export cargo and 68,872 tons of imported goods, was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Red Sea Spirit to load 17,500 tons of cement, Batian, with general cargo, OOCL Ability, H.& H Wave, and Eric Gibson, with containers.
