NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Dec 1: A large number of residents of five villages staged a sit-in on Tharushah-Mithiani link road near railway crossing accusing Tharushah police of chopping an old Neem tree at bus stop on Sunday night.

The protesters included residents of Loung Dahraj, Fazal Mohammad Siyal, Mohammad Moosa Siyal, Sultan Dahraj and Khair Mohammad Khokhar who were led by Abdul Khaliq Siyal, Arbab Siyal, Bakhshal and Ramzan Dahraj villages.

They alleged that an old Neem tree on the road side at bus stop was chopped by ASI Deedar Hussain Solangi and constable Yasin Panhwar of Tharushah police on Sunday night.

They said that the villagers were angry and they informed the DPO Naushahro Feroze at night, who sent SHO Tharushah police station at the spot. They said that the SHO took ASI, the constable, camel cart owner Javed Siyal and others to police station but after a deal, all were released.
