KARACHI, Dec 1: All the public and private schools and colleges of the city will remain closed on Tuesday (Dec 2) on account of the prevailing law and order situation, provincial education secretary Rizwan Memon told Dawn on Monday night.

Meanwhile, the University of Karachi announced postponement of all papers of degree classes (BA, BSc and BCom) regular candidates examinations, MBBS first professional (part-A) and the semester examinations (including those of evening classes) which were scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday (Dec 2 and 3) in view of the prevailing law and order situation.

A KU spokesman said on Monday that the new dates for the postponed papers would be announced later.—Staff Reporter
