QUETTA, Nov 30: Three people were killed in a clash between two groups of the Marri tribe in Miwand area of Kohlu on Sunday.

Rockets and automatic weapons were used in the clash sparked by an old land dispute.

The deceased were identified as Paind Khan, Jalat Khan and Maula Bakhsh. Four tribesmen were injured.

Police and other law-enforcement personnel rushed to the area and took the injured to a hospital in Kohlu.

Meanwhile, three people were killed in a landslide in Karshtang area of Dasht in Turbat district.

Police sources said that the three had died before a rescue team reached the place.

CONDEMNED: The Anjuman-i-Tajran Balochistan has condemned the killing of traders and transporters in Karachi.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the Anjuman’s president, Abdur Rahim Kakar, said that several restaurants, shops and vehicles had been attacked in different areas of the city.

Accusing an ethnic party of having started the violence, he said that several bodies and a number of people injured in Karachi had been brought to Quetta.

Mr Kakar said that Karachi was the country’s commercial hub and everyone had the right to do business there.
