MIRAMSHAH/KHAR/GHALANAI Nov 30: Reacting to the statements of Indian government in the backdrop of Mumbai attacks, the tribal leaders offered three million armed volunteers to the government of Pakistan for safeguarding the northern and eastern borders of the motherland.

The tribal chieftains, malaks, elders and elected representatives from North Waziristan, Bajaur and Mohmand regions in a press conference and separate statements called upon the federal government to converge all their concentration on the eastern borders with India and leave north-western borders to the brave people of tribal belt.

“India is our ‘enemy number one’ and the government of Pakistan should not take light it threats and evil designs. It is hatching conspiracy against Pakistan and its people,” they said.

They alleged that Indian intelligence agency RAW was active in the tribal areas to create law and order situation by carrying out explosions and other acts of militancy.

The said that government should stop military operation and pull out troops from the tribal areas forthwith to shift them to the border along with India, adding the government should utilise its energy to defend the motherland from Indian aggression.

The tribal leaders said two million armed tribesmen were ready to defend the north-western borders while one million volunteers would be spared to fight alongside Pakistani troops on the eastern border to frustrate Indian ill design.

The tribal elders from Bajaur region including MNA Akhunzada Chatan, Engineer Shaukatullah Khan, Senator Maulana abdul Rashid, JI provincial vice chief Sahibzada Haroonur Rashid, former MNA Shahabuddin Khan, TIP Bajaur president Dr Khalilur Rehman and others in their separate statement on Sunday criticised the aggressive and irresponsible statements of the Indian media, leaders and officials against Pakistan.

They said the Indian government was out to defame Pakistan in the comity of nations by issuing such derogatory and irresponsible statements, adding that India government was making failed attempts to hide the complete failure of its secret agencies during the Bombay attacks.

They called upon the government of Pakistan not to adopt defensive policy before Indian allegation, adding the government should expose Indian acts of violence in Pakistan including its involvement in violence in tribal areas and explosion at Marriot Hotel in the federal capital.

The tribal leaders urged the government to move the International Court of Justice and United Nations against India for levelling baseless allegations against Pakistan. They said that despite Pakistan’s active role in global war against terrorism the Singh’s regime was making failed attempts to involve Pakistan in the Bombay carnage.

The tribal elders from volatile Mohmand region termed the Indian charges as uncalled far, biased and an attempt to malign the sole atomic power of Islamic Ummah in their internal strife.

Tribal elders including Malak Haji Mohammad Ali Haleemzai, Haji Tahir Akbar Khan, Ghulam Hussian, Mohibullah, Malak Jan Mohammad and others in their separate statements said that India wanted to impose a war on Pakistan. But they warned of dire consequences if the war was started. The tribal leaders said that in the present economic crunch in globe neither India nor Pakistan would afford war, adding Pakistan was an atomic power and the eruption of war in South Asia would have disastrous impacts on both the countries.

They called upon the Indian leadership to show restrain and do not act in such a hurry. They said no responsible government in the world would give such irresponsible statements just after the occurrence of the tragedy, adding that Singh government should first collect solid proofs then request Pakistan for any possible help.
