OKARA, Nov 29: The wife of Muhammad Aslam Piracha, Dawn’s correspondent in Okara, died here after a brief illness on Saturday. She was laid to rest at Mauza Kaku graveyard, about 30 kilometres from the city.

Earlier, the funeral prayers were offered at Ghorey Shah in which people from all walks of life participated. Prominent among those present were DBA President Sagheer Ahmad Khan Harni, Chaudhry Sajjadul Hasan, ex-MPAs, journalists and lawyers.—Correspondent
