Port Qasim

KARACHI, Nov 28:Three ships carrying containers took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal on Thursday while container ship arrived at the outer anchorage of the Port Qasim.

Eight ships, KIA Waleed, NYK Cosmos, Ibn AI-Abbar, AI-Barella, Pearl River, Waffle Racer, Strilen and Stella occupied berths to load, offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during the last 24 hours.

A record cargo handling was achieved at the Port where a cargo volume of 0.100 million tons, comprising 0.087 million tons imports and 0,013 million tons exports, inclusive of containerised cargo 2,148 containers (TEUs), was handled during last 24 hours.Three ships, AI-Soor-lI, Moyra and MSC Marmora carrying diesel oil, palm oil and containers are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.—APP
