SHIKARPUR, Nov 27: An elderly man was killed allegedly by his relatives after he refused to give a girl of his family in marriage to a rival family to settle a karo-kari related dispute.

Gul Hassan Khoso, 70, was shot dead in Jamra village of the Lakhi Ghulam Hussain area on Thursday.

According to area people, Gul Hassan’s relative Ghulam Rasool had alleged that his wife had illicit relations with Gul Hassan’s son Ali Hassan. As compensation, Ghulam Rasool wanted to marry a girl of Gul Hassan family and their refusal led to the murder.—Correspondent
