Three taluka nazims suspended

DADU, Nov 26: The Sindh government has suspended taluka nazims of Dadu, Larkana and Garhi Yasin.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has suspended the Pakistan Muslim League-Q backed Taluka Nazim Naban Khan Lund on charges of misuse of power, embezzlement of development funds and illegal appointments in the taluka municipal administration. The nazim’s charge was temporarily given to TMO on Wednesday.

The chief minister has also directed the Anti-Corruption Establishment to look into the charges of illegal appointments of 120 employees from grade 5 to 16, embezzlement of development funds and misuse of powers.

Mr Lund’s bank accounts had been frozen after his suspension orders on the directive of the DCO.

Meanwhile, the additional chief secretary of the Sindh local government has said that Garhi Yaseen Taluka Nazim Najaf Kumario and Larkana Taluka Nazim Qurban Abbasi have been suspended on the charge of corruption, reports PPI.
