Father admits killing two young sons

LONDON: A man admitted on Wednesday murdering his two young sons, whose bodies were found stabbed to death in a car in Scotland.

Ashok Kalyanjee, 46, pleaded guilty at the High Court in Glasgow to murdering Paul Ross, six, and his brother Jay, two, the Press Association reported.

The two boys were discovered with knife wounds to their throats in a silver Mercedes in a lay-by in East Dunbartonshire in May. Their father was slumped unconscious alongside them.

Police found the murder weapon, a large, black-handled knife, in the front of the car, which smelled of petrol as Kalyanjee had tried to set it alight. He at first claimed he could not remember the events but later admitted the murders.

Kalyanjee’s ex-wife Giselle Ross, the boys’ mother, was in court to see their father plead guilty to the killing.
