Port Qasim

KARACHI, Nov 26: Two ships carrying containers and wheat berthed at the Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi-Purpose Terminal, respectively, here on Tuesday while five more ships with containers, palm oil and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

A total of five ships, Maersk Delmont, AI-Barella, Pearl River, Atlantia and Iron Moanger-three, are currently occupying berths to load, offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil and crude oil, respectively.

A total of 70,633 tons cargo was handled, comprising 56,881 tons imports and 13,752 tons of export cargo, inclusive of containerised cargo 1,491 containers (TEUs), were handled at the port during the last 24 hours.

Two ships, Maersk Delmont and Atlantia, sailed out to sea on Wednesday.—APP
